Barrett is a Los Angeles–based film editor whose work spans feature films, commercials and branded content.

He co-founded the production company Liberty Films with director Duncan Jones and producer Stuart Fenegan. Their first feature, Moon — starring Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey — premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, won the BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut, and went on to become a modern science-fiction cult classic.

 

He has since edited features including Mute (dir. Duncan Jones) and Skylin3s (dir. Liam O’Donnell), both released on Netflix, alongside numerous commercial campaigns and collaborations with directors including Glen Luchford and Ruairi Robinson.

 

He is currently editing Rogue Trooper, directed by Duncan Jones and scheduled for release in 2026.
